As an individual or business, it is your responsibility to be aware of and to meet your tax filing/reporting deadlines. This calendar summarizes important federal tax reporting and filing data for individuals, businesses and other taxpayers for the month of April 2014.
April 2
Employers. Semi-weekly depositors must deposit employment taxes for payroll date March 26–28.
April 4
Employers. Semi-weekly depositors must deposit employment taxes for payroll date March 29–April 1.
April 9
Employers. Semi-weekly depositors must deposit employment taxes for payroll dates April 2–4.
April 10
Employees who work for tips. Employees who received $20 or more in tips during March must report them to their employer using Form 4070.
April 11
Employers. Semi-weekly depositors must deposit employment taxes for payroll dates April 5–8.
April 15
Individuals. Individuals file a 2013 income tax return (Form 1040 series) and pay any tax due.
Partnerships. File of 2013 calendar year return (Form 1065). Provide each partner with a Schedule K-1 (Form 1065), Partner’s Share of Income, Deductions, Credits, etc., or a substitute Schedule K-1.
April 17

April 21
Employers. Semi-weekly depositors must deposit employment taxes for payroll dates April 12–15.
April 23
Employers. Semi-weekly depositors must deposit employment taxes for payroll dates April 16–18.
April 25
Employers. Semi-weekly depositors must deposit employment taxes for payroll dates April 19–22.
April 30
Employers. Semi-weekly depositors must deposit employment taxes for payroll dates April 23–25.
May 2
Employers. Semi-weekly depositors must deposit employment taxes for payroll dates April 26–29.
May 7
Employers. Semi-weekly depositors must deposit employment taxes for payroll dates April 30–May 2.
